Amanda Ling's skills on the keyboards have definately improved.
Just take a listen to Electrico's Walk. Skip to between 00:52 and 01:15 to hear what I mean.
The verse basically has almost no electric guitar (except at 01:02), just the vocals, drums, bass guitar and keyboards. Listen out for the second verse between 01:58 and 02:24. Her take during the chrous is good as well.
The keyboards matched the song really well, adding a lot of feel and depth to it. It also sets the mood of the song, like I'm standing all alone in a club full of people.
I felt she was saying more through her music on the second album. Stepping more into the front, and being more confident of her music. She was pretty much relegated to a secondary role during the first album. Her keyboards then were like backing tracks for the other instruments. Hopefully she'll grow as she jams with the band and gains more exposure. Only time will tell, but things are definately looking up.
Love In New Wave is another track in which she stands in the spotlight. It's their first single off the second album, go take a listen.

well.. amanda ling's keyboard skills improved? quite true...tt day i amplified their first ablum music through my mixer n i blurred the voice to hear the instruments.. well. most songs..she was jus there to enhance or maybe 'blow' the chords and when her keyboard comes solo..its tt usual 1-3-5 chord.. so boring.. i also kNoe.. hehe..nw aft hearing some of their latest songs.. she has indeed improved but still way to go!
Actually the band's instruments techinique improved too..the strumming chords are nt kept to tt old few chords..at least they are more daring to bring out off odd chords..the lead guitarist..erm..runs more now.. haha..cool~ keep it up Electrico! woohoo!

Nana - u got it! heh heh you gotta let me hear thru the mixer leh. i don't have one at home so have to rely on just my ears. putting it thru the mixer would make the sound clearer.. yeah well she learnt to distort and play around with the synthesizer also. some pretty cool effects are coming out of it. then again, not to diss her or anything (she's my idol!! my rock chick! \m/), her synthesizer is the super high-end type so... haha.. eh you heard their newer songs already meh? =)
um... I dun mean to be a middle man here but I find that there is some cross-fire at your chatbox leh... haha! poor eugene... haha.. I shall not get involve...
i tink the rhythm of effects or the creativity of effects coming frm tt synthesizer is the one tt is interesting ba.. haha.. u buy tt synthetsizer .. anihow whack oso got sound de.. haha..but its a skill to use tt! she is your rock chick?...wahaha..imagine a chick with a guitar...ooo so cute..

no la i mean you said you don't have the second album mah.. and it's not like you can download their stuff off the net. yeah anybody can probably make some sound with a good synthesizer but can you play it along with a song and add that special touch in it.. make the song sound like it's yours? it's a lot easier said than done and that's what i admire about musicians. they put their heart and soul into a song and you can feel it when you listen to it..

for synthesizers.. actually.. anyone who plays with it has their own unique way of playing it..cos music is so personal..its personal creativity.. but of course with effort or nO effort.u can hear it clearly..
like y my teacher always KP my songs..saying its all shit.. haha..cos i always nv put in effort..i refuse to use different instruments n put some creativity into it..one day. i shall put in my heart n soul.. to freak my teacher off .. like wat marty mcfly did... woohhoo.rock on!

tt's u man~! u always say music comforts u the best... so no nd to be upset by the boring cool cool working life k. there's always other things which is interesting in our life. work is only a v minor part of it although it takes up most of our time. *happy moment is always short* i noe u noe hoe to appreciate he happy moment rite. =D
